About The Book

Beautifully illustrated, The Magnificent Book of Sharks will take readers far out into the ocean, into clear coastal waters, and along warm tropical reefs to meet the extraordinary sharks that live there.

From the tiny pygmy shark to the massive whale shark, The Magnificent Book of Sharks captures some of the ocean's most extraordinary creatures through stunning illustrations. Meet the spotted leopard shark, the voracious tiger shark, and the super-fast shortfin mako that speeds through the ocean like a bullet. Intriguing facts accompany every illustration, so readers can find out why the lantern shark glows in the dark, how the epaulette shark "walks" on land, and which senses sharks use to find their prey. Discover all these facts and more in this wonderful keepsake that children will revisit time and again.
